Digital Transformations

Digital technologies are reshaping the workplace, resulting in many companies pursuing large-scale change efforts to capture the benefits they bring or simply trying to keep up with competitors.

In a recent survey by McKinsey, eight in ten respondents said their organisations had begun digital transformations in recent years, but just 14 percent said their efforts have made and sustained performance improvements.

Digital transformations are tougher than more traditional organisational changes. Employees are often having to learn both a new technology and process at the same time resulting in cultural tensions and employees not being clear on priority.

Communications is the key to the success of digital change. Starting with a compelling vision from the top, executives must build the vision for transformation, shift ingrained behaviours to reshape culture and set targets for the road ahead.

This output must be clearly communicated at every touchpoint during the programme from senior stakeholder through to the end user.
